Sekar Vembu

Chief Executive Officer

Sekar founded Vembu Technologies in 2004 and has since zealously established a leadership position as a provider of managed cloud based IT solutions in the cloud storage, online backup and cloud content management domains. He is responsible for overseeing the company's overall strategic direction, planning and execution.

Sekar has strong entrepreneurial experience in building profitable, high growth, innovative software product companies. Prior to Vembu, he was a co-founder and Business unit head for AdventNet (now called Zoho), a worldwide leader in the network management domain recognized, of late, more for their cloud based productivity suite of products. He successfully helped bootstrap AdventNet into a 300 people organization without any external funding.

Sekar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Operations Research – both from IIT-Madras.

Sathish Subramaniam

Vice President, Engineering & Operations

Sathish is responsible for product engineering, release management, quality assurance and operations excellence during the product development lifecycle.

Sathish joined Vembu Technologies in 2007 after working for large corporate giants like Nortel and Verizon. Prior to Vembu, he was with Verizon Data Services both in India and in the USA, wherein he'd worked primarily on Speech Recognition based applications for the Telecom Industry and on varied applications for handheld wireless devices.

Sathish completed his Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Madras and thereafter obtained his Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas, Austin. He went on to complete a second Masters in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Distributed Systems.

Srivatsan Venkatesan

Vice President, Product Management, Cloud Data Protection

Srivatsan is responsible for driving the product direction and go-to-market strategy for the Cloud Data Protection solution, which is focused on delivering business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for the managed services market.

Srivatsan has extensive experience in undertaking partner development, marketing and technology initiatives in the Storage, Virtualization and Data protection domains. Prior to joining Vembu, Srivatsan was Founder & CEO of CloudNucleus, which successfully developed a Virtualization based data protection software and was subsequently acquired by Vembu in 2011.  Prior to this, Srivatsan was the Vice President of Engineering at a boutique services company delivering storage technology related services to large enterprises and Storage OEMs. He helped grow that company from less than 10 people to more than 100 people within a span of 3 years.

Srivatsan completed his Bachelor’s degrees from University of Madras in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Sai V. Nagarajan

Vice President, Product Management, Cloud Content Management

Sai is responsible for driving product positioning, market engagement and roadmap definition for the Cloud Content Management Solutions.

Sai brings in a diverse set of experience from his previous stints with leading global IT service companies such as Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant Technology Services and Keane Inc. His core expertise is spread around Enterprise Document Management, Business Process Management and Information Access domains and he has handled enterprise architecture, pre-sales support and project management for system integration and application outsourcing assignments for Fortune 500 clients.

Sai holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Madras and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from West Virginia University at Morgantown.

Len Srinivasan

Vice President, Channel Partner Development

As Vice President of Channel Partner Development, Len is responsible for identifying and building key long term partnerships for Vembu's products and services. Len works out of our US office based in Dallas, TX. He also enjoys travelling often to engage face to face with top level management of our partners and customers and is prominently present at all our industry conferences. Len joined Vembu Technologies in 2008 and undertook various partner interfacing roles within the company such as Sales, Support and Marketing. He has been named to the MSPmentor 250 list for 2011, which identifies industry leaders shaping the global managed services market. Len was also named to SMB 150 in 2012, which lists major influencers in the SMB IT Channel. Prior to joining Vembu Technologies, Len worked with companies like EchoMail and Sutherland on various customer facing roles.

Len holds a Bachelor’s degree from College of Engineering, Anna University in Mechanical Engineering.
